Who we are

Committed to employing the best system for Soil Conditions & Budget

Our company understands, that not all soils are the same in the areas we work in. This is why we are not committed only to one or two pier systems. Our technician's are Trained to bring only the best engineering practices to every project. Our experienced technician's will evaluate your home with the same techniques used by a structural engineer. Technician's also have full access to a licensed engineer at all times to consult on your project, if needed. All of our jobs have a third party consulting engineer that signs off on the job.

Not all soils are the same

TWO PIER SYSTEM

This is why we are not committed only to one or two pier systems. When it comes to foundation repair, choosing the right pier system is essential for long-term stability. The two most common options are steel piers and pre-cast concrete piers, and each works differently to support your home.

Steel Piers vs. Concrete Piers: What’s the Difference?

Steel Piers

  • Material High-strength galvanized steel
  • Pier DiameterApproximately 3 inches DepthTypically 15 to 30 feet (to bedrock/strata)
  • Support MechanismDriven to load-bearing strata (bedrock) using a friction collar
  • Strength & StabilityHigher load capacity, better for deep or shifting soils
  • DurabilityMore resistant to soil movement over time
  • Cost Consideration Generally higher due to material and depth

Concrete Piers:

  • Material: Pre-cast concrete cylinders
  • Pier Diameter: Approximately 6 inches  Depth: Typically 10 to 13 feet (depending on soil)
  • Support Mechanism:  Rely on skin friction between the pier and soil
  • Strength & Stability:Suitable for shallower applications with stable soils
  • Durability:May be more affected by expansive clay soils
  • Cost Consideration  budget-friendly in suitable conditions
